Green Recycling
Green
Recycling was created from the merger of Green Recycling and Best Paper
in 1990, which is now one of the largest exporters of old newspapers in
Australia.
Our total tonnage of newspaper exported from Australian ports in the 1998/99
year was in excess of 33,000 tonnes.
It
purchases old newspapers from numerous independent contractors, councils,
schools and charities which guarantee a market for newspaper collectors.
Green Recycling is one of Western Australia's
largest kerbside collection contractor collecting a full range of materials
from the Cockburn, Canning, Rockingham, Peppermint Grove, Stirling, Fremantle,
Bunbury, Busselton, Capel, Dardanup, Donnybrook Balingup and Harvey councils.
Our
Material Recovery Facility or simply known as MRF in O'Connor is currently
processing about 25,000 TPA primarily to service the Perth Metropolitan
collection contracts and to sort commingled materials delivered from the
City of Melville, the Shire of Swan and the Town of Mosman Park.
The
kerbside collection contracts combined with commingled sorting contracts
service in total about 250,000 households.
The company looks forward to a bright
future in the recycling industry in Western Australia and will endeavour
to provide more improved and efficient recycling services to WA.
